Art Creations

One of the pinch pot pets created by students in 3A.
In term 4 of last year, students in 3A were taught basic clay skills with Miss Connolly as part of their Visual Art learning.

For their main piece, students made a simple pinch pot and added to it to transform the pot into a pet. The students made a range of animals including rabbits, dogs, worms, fish and cats.

The clay was taken to Woodridge State High School where it was bisque fired in a kiln and then transported back to our school for the students to paint it with a special glaze. Once it had been glazed, the clay went back to Woodridge State High where it was fired again.

The pinch pot pets and some clay tiles created by year 7 students will be on display in the office on Monday. Make sure to stop by and check them out.
