Year 7 Excursion

two year 7's taking in the view of the city
On Monday April 28th, the year 7 students went on an excursion to the Queensland Museum as part of their learning in history. The intent of the excursion was to examine the tools, techniques and methods used by historians working at the museum to care for and interpret the artefacts on display and to participate in hands on workshops run by museum staff.

The year 7's went on a walking tour of the museum, exploring the different displays and participated in two workshops; one on mega fauna and the other around artefacts from different cultures.  Morning tea and lunch were held on the grassy areas in front of the museum and the students even had time for a quick walk around Southbank. It was a great day out. The year 7's had great behaviour and their teachers are already planning another excursion for next term.
